Just finished putting the finish coat on the hood for the M B that I'm doing and dropped it. tried washing it off with water, no go.
Came to the forum for help remembered some thing about Windex . Found a couple good tips about Windex and a few about some other things to use. The brake fluid and oven cleaner I think I'll stay away from. Well needless to say no windex.
What I did have on hand was left over from taking tile off a wall in the bath room. It's called Krud Kutter, it's a adhesive remover, non-toxic biodegradable, water based. Lifts off most glues, mastic and more, also removes dirt, grease and floor wax.
It did pretty good, the primer was about a week old, first coat of paint 24 hours. With in about an hour I was recoating the part. Going to play with it got an old kit I don't like the finish on.
