Agreed, Metallizer sealer should be your final step.  Do not mask over it.  And I think it is different from other clear coats because it acts as a decal solvent, too. Your decals will shrivel up at first and then settledown nicely when the sealer is fully cured.

Well, if it rips off the sealer, but not the metalizer paint, then don't seal the model til all your painting and masking is done. Or, try a different gloss coat, which is all the metalizer sealer is right?

yes,the Testors stuff is pretty fragile in my use.Try para film or post-its

In my experience, masking tape will rip off the transparent "sealer" that Testors recommends as the last step, but it will not rip off the metal finish itself. Please confirm my observations. I will have lots of masking on my F-100 jet because I want various panel shades on the wings and fuselage...
