I no somewhere I read how to remove enamal paint without melting the plastic.Kits are too costly to just throw away and i went too heavy on the coats to say the least. Was it brake fluid? or any thing safe or eazy. Its too much to sand. Any hints, tips ,or help would be great. Thanks Paul L.
Things I have heard to use, including things I have tried, include brake fluid, oven cleaner and some of those new green (environmentally safe) strong spray bottle detergents. And, of course there is always fine to medium sandpaper.

I use the "green" stuff. Simple Green is the brand I know of, but there are a lot of different brands now (even generics). Soak overnight and most of the paint will just come off. Sometimes use a soft brush to get into the crevices. Multiple layers of paint may need multiple soakings. There is a "cleaner" odor, but not toxic.
