From Badger's site:

Determining what size needle or spray regulator you have. Badger marks the needles and spray regulators as follows:

Needles (Blunt End):

Fine-No lines or one line

Medium-Two lines

Heavy-Three lines

I'm  a newbie again after about 40 years.  Just found the silly putty trick and did it last night on the Tamiya Panzer 4 I'm working on.  The camouflage scheme came out perfect I thought.  I'm still trying to get my Badger figured out.  I'd like to try some freehand camouflaging, but I can't figure out how they can get a narrow bead of paint.

On my Badger, the needles have grooves on the end.  There are 3 needles with the kit.  one needle has one groove, the second has two grooves, etc.  How do I know which needle is fine, medium, wide?  It doesn't say anywhere in the instructions.

Thanks.

Working on Tamiya Panzer 4, Tamiya Stug 3.

TWOFER BADGER AND SILLY PUTTY

so i finally got over my cleaning concern with my BADGER 105. easier than the AZTEK i have been using. decided i'm not losing anything if i screw it up and i probably won't. so i pulled it out yesterday and did some base coating with tamiya acrylics. WHAT WAS I THINKING? this is great. so i layed out some silly putty for masking side skirts on an old practice tamiya JGPZ-IV. that worked great too. couple of boggers from first time, some runs from getting used to the trigger but i will strip it down and redo it again. that was using MMA. practiced doing some freehand camo on my JOSEPH JGPZ-V and i think i could freehand a camo pattern with a bit of practice.

and if you need a laugh?

i'm marking the camo pattern on the skirt to paint the green. something doesn't look quite right but i put down the silly putty and tape off the rest and look at it to imagine the pattern and THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG. i had stripped it before and reprimed it with gray AND FORGOT TO BASE COAT THE DARK YELLOW. how funny is that?

my biggest hangup has been painting and this could be a tremendous break through.
