Fixing lifted paint from masking

I did use the vallejo grey primer originally through the airbrush but i think there was contamination in those parts.

One of the reasons to use primer is to improve paint adhesion.

I figured this would be the answer but its going to be tricky. I think I've been spraying on to much paint with the airbrush due to the thickness of the paint. In one of the areas I've tried sanding it down and re painting but even after 2 light coats the edges/outline are still visible with some minor sanding in between coats. I think I just need to sand more.

i had this problem before. montague is right. just sans and repaint that area. I found out what i did wrong, and i am in no way saying you didn't do these steps, I'm just adding this in, in case someone else reads this post for answers, and looking for other " just in case steps".

i didn't wash my sprue. which as we all know...you always should. Another lesson I learned at this stage...only use your fingers to wash the sprue. no kitchen brushes..but that's another story..

i also didn't allow for enough drying time for the base coat to properly cure, before applying the tape.

hopes this helps to someone before they run into a mudtrap (modeling unexpected disaster that really alleviates progress)
