I shot a poster board with a product from Krylon called "Make It Stone".  I think it is also sold as 'Fleckstone', but I'm not sure if the former has taken over the latter.  It's an interesting finish, and probably wildly out of scale for anything smaller than 1/24, but I like it:

I think this might better be asked in the painting forum rather than the "help in using the forums" one.  But asphalt varies a lot on locality and contractor, as well as age, so any dark gray is good.  I often use something like Schwarzgrau.

Just getting back to the hobby. I used to used asphalt spray paint I think Pactra sold it,for taxiways and parking ramps. haven't been able to find it lately. What is every one useing these days.
