I'd use Alclad.  They have several shades of aluminum, and as a previous poster said, it might look nice using several of the shades on the same model.

 Just starting to paint revell"s F89J, Instructions say to mix silver with aluminum, I'm guessing for semi gloss look.

Now I have Vallejo aluminum, Humbrol 27001 and 2 aluminum, and model master non buffing aluminum,which one of those would be a good substitute for the revell colors.

I would add that on a plane that size, you might find a way to use some of all those for some natural variations in the NMF.

I would suggest that you use the Humbrol or Model Master Aluminum color. No need to mix anything.
