Back to modeling after almost 2 decades.

    Hello community!

I have returned to modeling after many years away, life has a way of putting things on hold and before you know it, a large portion of it has past you buy. So many things have changed, so much to learn and re-learn. I look forward to making many new friends and building many new projects. I used to be pretty good at this, lets see if an old dog can learn some new tricks! I build mostly cars and trucks, but I've done WWII aircraft as well, a few ships, I like all of them. Anyway thanks for the opportunity to learn. I'm working on a 64 Cadillac Convertible now and I have a B17-G up next. It's gonna be fun! I'm gonna go build something now. Later!                                                                                        Mike

Welcome.  Many (in fact, maybe most) of my modeling friends are retreads too, so I know you can learn and come up to speed.  Seen it many times. I seem to be one of the few who got started early- age six or seven- and never did take a break. Modeled when in college, in AF, while raising a family in apartments.  Been at it nearly seventy years now.

Welcome Mike!  A lot of us have come back into the hobby after a long hiatus.  But have the fun is learning and remembering this passion called modeling.  Lots of great folks here more than willing to pass on tricks and tips, so jump on in and have fun!  Just remember to post pics of your builds!

It's a shock to be gone so long then return to find so much different. I had about a ten year break myself and was shocked to find so much had changed, so much to learn and relearn. It's fun and can be expensive.

Welcome to the forums.

Welcome back Mike!  you'll find the world has seemingly spun on it axis, but its really the same old: gluepart, gluepart, regluepart-correctly, gluepart, gluepart --see "simples"
