Micro bubbles on Futured surface?
Posted by Chrisk-k on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 3:32 PM

I paint-brushed Future on a surface that was sprayed with a Tamiya flat acrylic paint. I see a few micro bubbles on it. I'm curious as to what caused them. FYI, I didn't stir Future before applying it and used a cheap paint brush.

Most likely that is the problem. Future doesn't always do well when paint brushed. Also make sure that you at least stir or shake future before use. Future has acrylic in it even tho its very thin and almost watery. The quality of your brush will make a difference as well as cheaper brushes tend to be made with more coarser bristles. This coarseness can cause micro bubbles to form and also cause brush streaks. I would use something that you can WIPE it on with like a soft cloth that doesnt leave lint or maybe a makeup sponge. I airbrush so thats how I apply my future and never had a problem.......maybe try that next time.

You can remove the Future with Windex  and reapply - but use a good quality brush, if the problem is too severe
