Oil wash with mineral spirit
Posted by Chrisk-k on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 8:22 PM

I just did an oil wash with odorless mineral spirits. I cleaned excess oil paint with the same mineral spirits. The model is completely dry now. However, all the areas on the model touched with the mineral spirits are semi-glossy. Will these spots become invisible once I apply a flat top coat?

Yup.  They should turn out just fine under a dull coat.

If it is touch dry, but less than a few hours after application, leave it a bit longer, at least overnight, before flat-coating.
