I have been using a cotton swab and acrylic thinner and lightly rub off the paint then dry off the canopy. I just put a drop of thinner on the swab. don't use to much.

If the polish does not take it off fast enough, a fine sandpaper can be used 600 or 1000.  It used to be that after sandpaper like that you had to polish out the fog left by the sandpaper, but now people merely brush on some Future, since it evens out the little micro sanding marks.

Yes, or an alternate method would be to use plastic polish to polish off the offending paint.

Its still attached

I might be able to use the windex applied using a q-tip, just have to skip the future dip

If the canopy is attached you will have to be very careful using any liquid cleaners such as Windex or Testors ELO, in order not to mar any surrounding areas. If not, strip it with one of those, then start over, with the Future dip, masking, etc.

Is there a way to safely remove acrylic paint off a canopy or is it pooched?
