The Iwata SB is a nice airbrush but it has a small tip and needle so you will have to see if the acrylics will flow well through it or not. If the Tamiya acrylics have fine enough paint pigments then it will work fine.

Can't go wrong with that unless you coughed up too much for the setup.

Bought the Iwata Hp-SB from Bear Air and the compressor from my local hobby dealer.
I also purchased a Badger 360-7 set a few weeks ago (I'l be OK with MikeV now :)
from my local shop who got me an awesome price...$125 Canadian...no one can beat that !!!
Havent tried it yet though...current project's not in paint stage yet.

if you have a q on t&c or badger, hes the guy to ask. even if your going to buy an aztek, he will convince you :)

The Hp-Sb has a .2mm nozzle, you are going to have to thin the paints out a bit and the pigment size will make a difference. You are going to have to experiment. I have to assume you will be using this for tight detail work. I suggest you pick up a bottle of badger air opaque black or com art black and smoke. These are acrylic airbrush paints for illustration but they work great for painting detail on models such as shading on panel lines and exhaust vents. I have even used them for detail work on some bicycle helmets I've painted.
