Well, the Airbrush City web page says orders can take up to 5 business days to ship, but usually ship in 1-3 days. Today is the 5th business day and no e-mail yet with a tracking number. Ho-Hum! :-(

In the meantime I have decided to go with the Paasche HSSB hobby spray booth that goes for $183-195 on eBay. When you pay the receipt shows your Paypal payment goes to Paasche Airbrush Company. Looks like Paasche may be selling direct on eBay - a bonus if I ever have warrenty claims. I thought about building one myself, but the Dayton Shaded Pole Blower that seems to always show up in do-it-yourself spray booth articles would be $120 + shipping IF I could use somebody's business account to order it from Grainger.com - otherwise it retails for about $150.00. Then I'd have to build the box, etc. I like the fact the Paasche HSSB is metal for easy cleaning and foldable for storage. I ordered that last week as well - now I'm just staring out the window for the Fed-Ex or UPS guy to stop by!

Reviews on both the Airbrush City compressor and the Paasche HSSB once they arrive.

i have their basic compressor for like 99bucks, i love it, they will help u out, they send out very quickly and their equipment is good, the double action brush they send u really sucks though, DONT TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN ALL OF IT!! it is a pain to put back and the needle is so rough, do not even use it lol.

I've bought from them a couple of times, through ebay actions.
I've found them friendly ,helpful and prompt in shipping their orders out.

I've also found their products to be of an excellent quality.

"Airbrush City" Order

Hi - just getting back in the hobby after many years (girls/cars/school/job/cars/wife/work ...no kids yet) and I'm upgrading all my old equipment. First up is a Paasche VL to complement my old Paasche H. I do 1/35 armor. I also need a good compressor without breaking the bank (got to afford all those new Tamiya kits that finally don't have motorization holes!) and decided to go with the set up on the following link:

http://www.airbrushcity.com/1612.htm

Gets me a compressor that hopefully will do the job quietly and the VL - the other two airbrushes in the set are throwaways, probably.

I did a lot of online research and forum surfing - not too much info on Airbrush City or this particular compressor. I guess I'll be the guinea pig and post my experiences - just ordered today, some people have said this company is a little slow on shipping so we'll see.

Stay tuned...
