yes, you can

a lot of modelers do it that way, it can be hard to get an Acrylic primer to work exactly the way you want it to,,,,,,,or at least it can seem hard to do,,,,,while using an Enamel primer is seen as the easy way

I would call your way the "smart way" for anyone that doesn't HAVE to use an Acrylic primer,,,,,a very few of us don't have any choice

if you have an airbrush, give Alclad II primer a look, but, there are many others out there that have a loyal following too

If I use Enaml. primer, can I come back with Acryl. paints??
