There's a brief thread about the Airstream HERE.
The Airstream seems to be the only Sparmax compressor that Hobby Lobby carries now. It is a shame. Ding Hwa Company in Taiwan seems to have change management and now have different product lines more geared toward the domestic market such as cosmetics, bakery etc. which usually means low quality and high markup.
The best recent discussion on quality compressor for airbrushing is this one at ARC.
I love my Iwata Smart Jet. I paid slightly more than $200 2 years ago. Zero problem and very quiet.

I use an Iwata Silver Jet. Got it for about $120. It is very quiet.
At first I thought I had a problem- I could only get around 15 psi, and I sometimes like to do flat paints at about 20. Found out I had a leak where the hose attaches to the compressor. I wrapped the compressor fitting with teflon tape and re-installed the hose and I can get well over 20, so I can regulate between 15 and 20.

Same as mine with no tank.
Some stuff that might be interesting.

I've had this bugger for several years, never an ounce of trouble, quiet and affordable (1/5 hp from Harbor Freight).

its "very" quiet, smooth with the tank and under $100.
Cheers.
I'm looking at a getting new air compressor, The one I'm looking at is a Airstream mini from Hobby lobby for around 189.00 them I'm going to use the 40% off coupon so it will be less anyone use this one or heard any thing about it? My main concern is noise level. Size is nice also. But I don't see any way to adjust the pressure or a moisture trap?? I'm looking to stay under 150.00 on one thanks J
