Painting clear aircraft canopies

How do we get the clear "gold" color onto the aircraft canopies. Have the 1/350 USS Enterprise and want to paint the canopies of the aircraft and not look strange.

I believe mixing yellow with clear will give a translucent color.

Alclad makes a gold that may be a possibility.

UH, you said "...and not look strange"  did you mean:  you  while painting?

                                                                                                  the color of the canopies?

the looks of others watching you paint?

 Never Mind

When I'm wearing my respirator and my optivisor, I'd say "strange" is an understatement for the way I look when I'm painting...:)
