Bubbles in the Paint Recepticle
Posted by haseren4 on Sunday, March 2, 2014 7:19 AM

So I bought my first airbrush yesterday and had been using it pretty extensively with no issue. But today I started to use some Olive Grey paint I mixed just now and in the paint recepticle there are bubbles that look like when you blow air into milk with a straw. What causes this?
Extra Info
I am using the Basic Revell airbrush and Revell Aqua paints

Bubbles in the paint cup is usually and indication that the nozzle/nozzle cap is not firmly seated..

blockage in your nozzle. Clean it out and clean off the needle tip.

I ended up taking the entire airbrush apart and deep cleaning it with hot water and soap and it works perfect now. I didnt take any notes and have no instructions so thank god for my 120 GT score I got it completely put back together.

In badger airbrushes there is a teflon washer that seals the nozzle.  That washer needs to be replaced occasionally, and a good indication of the need to replace is bubbles in the paint jar.

I had the same issue. Took apart the airbrush and cleaned the nozzle. Works great now
