How to remove nozzles from Vallejo bottles.
Posted by patrick206 on Monday, March 24, 2014 4:36 PM
Hi, all - I'd like to take the applicator nozzles off Vallejo bottles, for complete stirring or adding reducing agents to the contents. Can they be removed by twisting and pulling, or do you need to use gripping tools like pliers? Or is it possible they are threaded in? Any suggestions, please. Thanks in advance. Patrick

just take a piece of paper towel, place over the end, grip it firmly with two fingers, and rock it a bit as you pull

they pop right off

you do need to put them back on, though, even people that don't like the dropper function, because the nozzles are 1/2 of the seal system (some don't like the droppers)

Thanks, Rex. I was hoping that would be the case, I tried it and it works great.

Happy building, Patrick

Keep in mind that nozzles will likely become loose once they are removed.  I have several Vallejo bottles with loose nozzles.  I hate Vallejo dropper bottles, especially for Model Color.

Thanks, Chris I have seen that problem with other product containers, once removed the fit just isn't the same. I used really large and wide rubber bands, cut a small hole in the center of the width, then placed the slit over the nozzle and then completely around the container, top to bottom. To be on the safe side I'll do this with the Vallejo bottles also. Thanks for the heads up, good tip. Patrick

Try a small amount of Elmers or Aleen's glue on the neck and slide in the nozzle. Once the glue sets, it should give a tighter fit to the part. Just a thought.
