Review of Badger's new acrylic polyurethane primer
Posted by balta1 on Sunday, April 13, 2014 7:43 AM

I just bought a bottle of Badger's new primer and so far it is very positive. I did several tests on it, I'm impressed with it and think it will give the other acrylic primers a run for their money. I posted part one of the review on youtube. TIA

Impressive performance! I do wonder, as many other modelers have discussed, what are the "sandable" qualities of the new Badger Stynylrez primer? Were you able to experiment with that as well?

I just posted part 2 and it shows that it can be sanded and it does sand very well.

I guess I am confused with acrylic urethane. Isn't that an oxymoron? I thought they were two different types of plastic.

Yeah I looked and seems like only on webairbrushes righ tnow, but I live in Canada and it costs 47.00 for shipping so :/ guess I'll have to stick with my rust-oleum and vallejo for now.

Well it is only $8 shipping for a $7.50 bottle here in the states, so I am going to order one a try it out.  Thx.

John, did their website's shopping cart work for you?

I just tried to do an order, got everything typed in up to the payment screen, hit the Paypal button to enter the CC info,,,,,,and the page winked out on me, with no "go back one page" available

I also hit up against them saying the coupon code is invalid, even though it is still on the homepage in Red

oh well,,,,,,,,I don't see the stuff anywhere else, even though it is supposed to be "coming in April"

This ole Badger fan is getting a bit "un-fanned" at the moment, lol

Hi Rex;

I had a similar problem.  I think the issue was that I block all the cookies and redirects and the Paypal button couldn't go to the Paypal site.  I used another browser where I had turned off all the "protection" and it went through.

You can then check Paypal and if you see a payment to them, they will deliver.  Took about 5 working days I think.  I haven't had a chance to try it out yet as I am not ready to do any priming just now.  Looking forward to it though and I am hoping it is sandable more so than the Vallejo ones.

Thanks John, that worked

I got to take the opportunity to add in a few parts for my old Badger, and to try out the new paint, if there Camo Gray sticks well to their primer, I will have another low cost paint option.

I love seeing all the new links to venders and new products here on FSM,,,,,if only I could resist buying them once in a while, haha.
