Yellow15,
That Tamiya AB is probably OK. I've heard good things about that set.
Anybody out there have it that can give yellow15 the lowdown?

Thanks for your reply Brian.

Do you mean the airbrush that comes with the tamiya isn't good? and what sort of price do i have to pay for a "decent" one? i assume any airbrush is compatitable with the tamiya kit right?

Hi, Richard.
I've been using Tamiya's Revo for a few years now, and I love it. I think it's only a grade or two up from the basic Spray Work compressor. It's very simple to use (just turn it on!), and it does everything I need it to do, from heavy coverage to fine detail spraying. It was my first compressor, and I've felt no need to upgrade yet.
I'm sure some of the more accomplished AB'ers out there could expound upon the virtues of pressure regulation and moisture traps and all that good stuff, but my ol' Revo has never left me wanting anything more.
I think it went for about 15,000 yen, or about 125 bucks US.
I'd recommend getting a decent airbrush, too.

Hi, i'm thinking of buying an air brush ... and the Tamiya one Spray Work basic compressor kit seems pretty good to me... and since i have absolutely no knowledge about air brush, i have a few questions:
1. Would it be able to do all the basic things?
1. if anyone here is using it? any pros and cons about this kit?
2. is it good for a beginner like me? I'm only a casual modeler and only build 1-2 kit a year.
3. Also wonder what is a good price for this kit?
