Sparmax Max-35
Posted by BlackSheepTwoOneFour on Saturday, May 10, 2014 11:47 PM

Has anyone seen/bought/used an airbrush brand called Sparmax Max-35? The other day, I saw one at my local Hobby Lobby for $114.99. What are your thoughts on them.

Not familiar with the Max-35 though the 2cc cup might be a little small. The Sparmax Max-3 looks the same but with a larger cup. Both look nice.

That's just it. I cannot find the Max-35 on their site. I'm assuming it's a newer model or older/discontinued model. It is a nice looking airbrush though.

BlackSheep 2-1-4,

The Max-35 seems to be listed on their site under the "SP Series":

http://www.sparmaxair.com/product_detail.php?id=2&r=15    (and I hope this link works - just discovered my first one didn't). I did find both th Max-35 and the Max-3 listed on Ebay

And, yes, a nice looking airbrush.

EDIT Juat tried and this link doesn't seem to work either - dunnno why! Just check the Sparmaxair site a check the SP series.

Don't know about the airbrush, but I have a Sparmax compressor which is mighty fine.

Trouble is, the only Sparmax service facility I was able to find is located in Iran.  Good luck with that!

Confused

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

It looks like the Max series are revised/updated versions of older models (DH-102/Max-2, DH-103/Max3).

I use a Sparmax SP-35C and it's a nice, solid, reliable brush. I've had it for nearly 10 years and haven't had a problem which was not of my own making. The 2cc cup isn't really that much of an issue.

PS: There are a few reviews online of the Premi-Air G35, which is a rebadged Sparmax SP-35.

If indeed you're looking at the Max-3, you might consider ordering one from LuckyModel $40.98 plus $7.66 shipping. ie. <$50.00

Cadet Chuck - not really Iran. According to the FAQ section when finding replacement parts, all you need to do is contact the distributor in the US. Their distributor is located in New Jersey.
