I would not. Its way too thick, even with thinner added to it. Mr. Surfacer 1000,1200, and 1500 is available in bottles. I would only airbrush the 1200 or 1500 for priming, and thin that with Gunze Leveling thinner 1 part paint to 1.5 parts thinner.

I read somewhere that 1200 can only be purchased in aerosol cans... Is that true?   If so, I guess I could always decant it.

You probably can, but you'll have to use quite a bite of thinner..maybe 4:1 or more even.  Mr Surfacer 1200 is the best for priming through an airbrush.

Hello everyone! I picked of a bottle of Mr. Surfacer 500 for next to nothing, and I was wondering if I can thing it and run it through my airbrush for priming.  I tried using it for gap-filling, but when it dried, it flattened out and did not do much.
