                        There is a middle ground technique- prime it with a good primer.  Most good primers will stick to metal and the paint sticks to the primer.

                        Hi guys,

                        picked up this bird for a tenner but wanted to know if it is possible to airbrush acrylic paint over the metal plating or do i have to remove it first? If I have to remove it whats the easiest way or is it just a waste of time.I want to use some washes as well but as i have never dealt with a metallic model before I would very much appreciate some advise.
