Home Depot and Lowes sell several 3M particle/paint respirators. I bought a 3M model 6211. Can't smell even lacquer thinner while wearing it.

I have been thinking about a new one for awhile, you guys talked me into it,I just ordered one from Amazon

My wife doesn't like seeing me browsing this forum because she knows I'll get new ideas about spending money.

Thanks for the info guys.  I think I'll go with 3M 6211.

Thank you!

I have a 3M 7500 series MEDIUM 7502 HALF MASK KIT PLUS 4 2138 FILTERS,

semi-silicone, very comfy, can wear over my beard & doesn't fog up my glasses.

The key thing are the Filters, replaceable ones, that are specifically for Voc's/Paint etc, with another set for particulates, for when I'm sand-blasting the car chassis

Me, too.  I highly recommend the 3M model.  I can't smell ANYTHING I spray, which means it's not getting through to my lungs.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Looking For A New Respirator

Have been looking at some of the 3M respirators. If I recall correctly, I think it should be made to filter organic compounds. Just looking for advice on finding a good respirator for airbrushing mainly enamels and cleaning with lacquer thinner. Thank You, Dave
