compressor question from a newcomer
Posted by sachman on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 12:17 PM

Just bought an Iwata Neo CN airbrush. I would like to get an inexpensive compressor. Can anyone comment on the following:

http://www.amazon.com/Master-Airbrush-Brand-TC-16-H-Compressor/dp/B00397QZIC

TC-16-H. Has anyone used this? Something similar? WIll it be powerful enough to push the paint out evenly? Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,

If you can afford it I'd recommend a little better one for our purposes. I think the TC-16-H is fine for spraying inks on cake but not for the paints we use. It doesn't have a regulator, doesn't shutoff at a preset pressure, will run continuously as you spray but does shut off if it overheats - I think a warning that it will get hot with continuous use. For a little more money this one would be better I think:

And, the hose will fit your new Neo (nice AB)

Just my thoughts2 cents
