I have a nice prime layer down.  Do you think if I lay down a nice layer of Future, and let it dry for a few days, that will help reduce any aluminium coming up?    I just really don't want to spray the red and OD first

While I have had some problems masking various aluminum paints, if I do a good job of masking and a good wet coat I can usually mask okay.  Also, I prime everything.

Yeah, I'd paint the red and od first. They'll take the masking much better.

Masking Over Testors Aluminium??
Posted by SubarooMike on Thursday, July 10, 2014 10:04 PM

Hello everyone!  I'm working on an airplane that requires a red tail and OD anti glare strip.   Should I spray those areas before I apply my Tetsors aluminum (enamel), or can I mask over the aluminium with my Tamiya tape?  I primed the model with Model Masters acrylic primer. Thank you for your help!
