NEVER mix alcohol and Vallejo family acrylics.

You should know that some of the conflicting posts about thinning with alcohol is caused by there being two types of alcohol used for thinning paints.

I will leave it up to each person successful in thinning with alcohol to tell you if he uses Denatured Alcohol or Isopropyl Alcohol

Hopefully, anyone that uses these will identify which type they use, instead of just saying Alcohol.

And the quick answer is NO, ISO doesn't work with all brands.  I would help more, but, I don't model on a budget, so I use the "house thinner" for each paint brand that I have,,,,,,,,,except my home brew posted in another thinner thread for PolyScale and Aeromaster.

Ok, I've read a lot of people have been thinning acrylics with alcohol. My question is; what kind? And if isopropyl, then what percent? And does it work for all brands? Thanks
