Snibs I think thats very ingenious and a good use of hobby money. Personally I just spray acrylics but I don't have a way of venting it outside. I'm thinking of one of those with changeable filters? Don I'll be interested in your new setup.

I'd check with a local shop and see what they would charge to cut and break the panels.  With tabs on the corners, it would be a snap to drill and pop rivet them together.  That would last forever I'd reckon.  Might even engineer some hinges and make them portable too.  Not much of a step for a stepper like you Don.Big Smile

Yeah, I have.  I just am not that good of a sheet-metal worker.  And, my bending brake is too small for the size booth I want.

Don, have you considered using sheet metal for your new booth?  Cross-broken panels in 26 or 24 gauge would be rigid enough I'd think.  Just a thought from an old tinner...Big Smile

I am planning on building a new spray booth.  Although I have no need for a portable one, the one I built last needs to be taken off wall to change filters, and it is quite heavy- made from thick particle board. I plan to rebuild out of lighter, thinner materials.  I may also try to make filter (furnace filter) replaceable without taking the booth down from wall.  I could post drawings after I complete it.

It will not include space for a compressor. In fact, I do not use the spray booth with my airbrush. I get so little overspray it is not worth it, I just airbrush at my building bench. I use the booth only for rattle cans.

I am looking for some plans to construct a portable booth with room for a small compressor and a paint booth. It needs to be portable so I can move it around and not too heavy to move. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
