is it different isomers between brands, or do different brands have other stuff than isomers of propyl alcohol?

The numbers refer to the amount of alchohol by volume, so the 91% is much more "pure".

You may already know this, but ISO is not a universal reducer or cleaner for acrylic paints. Chemistry varies from brand to brand. I've only used a few of them, so I'm not your best source of info on that. This month's FSM has an article on acrylic paints with a good reference chart that breaks down the best choices for most popular brands.

Hope this helps!

I don't know, every post I read said use the 91%, but I'm not sure why.

Pretty basic question, between 70% and 91% ISO, is one more suitable than the other or do they perform the same as reducers? I'll be using a known brand from the drug store, not cheapo off brand. I have no clue, knowledgeable answers will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Patrick
