stripping kato ho scale locomotives

been stripping ho scale kato locomotives (factory paint) with not much luck. sometimes it takes 3 weeks soaking in 99 percent alcohol and lots of scrubbing with a toothbrush. need help

DETAILER: When I was still in MRR I did a lot of my own stripping and repainting any good hobby shop should or can get you either Unpaint or Floquil Rince Away or Elo paint remover. I never stripped Kato body shells so be carefull you don't ruin a body shell good luck.  AN EX MODEL R.R.      ACESES5

I have found two products - a detergent called Simple Green, and a cleaner by Castrol motor oil- forget the name but it comes in a purple spray bottle- that seem to remove paint without damaging plastic.

I know some folks also use oven cleaners.
