Rub n Buff is used as a highlighter of raised areas like inner compartments and edges on Armor. It will fail on a base silver application.Waxed based.

From the web site:

TRUE METAL X10 ALL COLORS

Metallic paints created from a wax base.

High quality pigments

Applied by brush, fingertip or cotton swab.

Once dried, it can be polished to a metallic finish. Recommended to prime it first.

Being wax I can see how it might attract and retain dirt/dust easier than paint.

I've used the RnB but haven't applied paint or decals over it. My use has been limited to relatively small areas. As in 1/35 scale (and smaller) figures.

The trouble I found with Rub n Buff was that it was wax based, and later paint or decals did not adhere very well. I hope those metal paints don't use wax as a vehicle.

Has anyone tried these?

They look like the stuff from Rub n Buff.
