In the book How to Use an Airbrush they use Tamiya clear orange to make motorcycle exuast pipes look heated. I just bought Tamiya red and green clear for the lights on aircraft. I know nothing of the spray can but this is what I know it can be used for.

I don't know about the stuff in the jar, but the spray can is laquer, and I wouldn't recommen using it over acrylic or enamel. You may get away with it using very light coats. But it is risky.

Ok - is the Tamiya Clear that comes in the jar for all paint types - including Acrylic paint? (cos it states it on the jar but it seems very thick). What about the Tamiya Clear in the Spray can - is that for all paint types?

And for interest sakes - what is Tamiya Clear made of specifically?
