I'm still having air compressor problems. My Campbell Hausfeld won't pump up. They sent me a check valve, but it didn't work.Anybody have any ideas as to what may be wrong?

I assume that you have a tank attached? Is there a drain/petcock on the bottom of the tank that might be open?

Your post has me thinking Tex. If I find that that drain is open, I'll hide for the next year and a half. It could be that i am opening it rather than closing it. I'll let you know tomorrow when I can run it. That thing will wake the dead its so loud
If the non-return is working, the tank is closed & there are no other leaks I would suspect a failed valve in the head.

Hmmmm, Guess I'll have to check it out
Thanks
I tore the compressor down the other night. I couldn't see anything that was bad. So, I guess i'm in the market for a new compressor. The only problem is the gas company, the electric company and Verizon are all standing there with thier hands out. Thats life I guess
Anyway, I'm going to get all my bills caught up then I'll get the Little Dewalt I've got my eye on . Does anyone have this? Whts it like for airbrushing?Onre review says its quiet, light weight and would be great for airbrushing. Any thoughts/opinions?

Did you check out the check valve?
Too many models to build, not enough time in a lifetime!!
plasticjunkie Did you check out the check valve?
CH sent me a new check valve. Didn't make any difference
when i opened the compressor up. the cylinder - pistom - and head was dismantled. Every thing was loose. I thought I found the problem, but I'm guessing being run with everything loose.like that it really messed things up.
Hopefully it may work if you are able to re assemble the loose parts.
