Airbrush oil

Oil & Water (acrylics) don't mix, & it will ruin enamels as well!

Vallejo (& others) airbrush thinner & cleaner have 'some' lube properties.

I spray, clean with a/b thinner, then strip down when necessary & use Badgers' REGDAB to lube the trigger, the needle (from behind the paint cup area) & the cap threads, then assemble loosely.

The REGDAB doesn't have any deleterious effect on the a/b, seals or acrylic paint so far as I have used it.

I just use the Medea cleaner and let the teflon washer do its intended job, after reading Don's site.

Interesting question, the new Iwata I just bought comes with a tube of lube.Instructions are to put a few drops in the trigger opening.it is an iwata product called super lube, non toxic, non silicone.I have not yet tried it.Any thoughts on this ?

I believe that is the stuff that Don talked about in the link I posted.

If it is the same stuff, you may not want to put it into an airbrush.

Tojo, I have a couple tubes of that Iwata lube. It will gum up after a while. I've only used it around the trigger mechanism but don't anymore. Holding off for some of the Badger lube which seems to be forever out of stock at the places I like to buy from.
