Will Alclad stand up to the same chemicals as Future?

I don't know what Flory washes do to freshly painted Alclad, but If you let the clear coats dry for a couple of days it won't have any effect on them. They are sludge-washes though, so the surfaces texture has a lot to do with how strong the effect is. You simply brush the wash on everywhere and let it dry, then wipe it off with a damp piece of cloth. Satin and flat paint will be stained by the washes, but on glossy surfaces it should only darken the recesses after everything is wiped off.

I'm working on a F-7 Cutlass on the NMF and Dawn of Jet Age GBs and masked over the polished Aluminum with blue Scotch tape 2-3 hours after the initial coat and no problems with lifting. I even had to re position some tape pieces several times to get the correct angles.

CA accelerator plays havoc with Alclad.  Yet I often have to glue small parts on after finishing. I have learned to never use accelerator on it.  Decal setting solution seems okay.  Never used decal solvent, so don't know about that.  Some folks say they can mask over well dried Alclad- I have never had good luck with masking- even with Tamiya tape, so I do all paint trim first, and then mask that and do the alclad areas last.

Clemens is absolutely right. DO NOT do an oil wash over freshly painted Alclad as it will wash it off. Be aware that Aqua gloss, Future or any clear coat will slightly dial down the shine.

Does the clay based wash scratch the Alclad? Being freshly applied  I find it a bit delicate as it can blemish easily.

Alclad clear coats (except the aqua clear) won't be able to take an oil treatment. The wash will dissolve them. I only use Alclad on aircraft and my preferred weathering products are clay-based Flory washes for exactly that reason. If you want to use oil washes you have to do it on top of an acrylic clear coat (Future, Alclad aqua clear, Tamiya clear coat,...)
