Yes, I worry about the pressure drop with a charcoal filter.  A spray booth  requires moving a lot of air through it.  Usually, with any filter, the pressure drop across the filter increases with air volume. If pressure drop is too high it will cut way down on flow.

Won't hurt to try it.  Charcoal filter's ability to remove orders depends on the cfm, amount of charcoal in the filter and amount of matter entering the filter.  We have a huge filter at work for removing the smell from one of our wide format printers and even it (with two 50lb charcoal filters) has to be dialed down for it to work well.  I would suspect that any charcoal filter addition would be an improvement

I will still be using the supplied filter. Coz that will catch all the particles. But the introduction of charcoal filter is supposed to absorb the odors. Hopefully it works so I don't have to connect the flexible duct.

Will update this thread once I got all the stuff. Cheers.

I have not used that filter but the one that comes with it does a good job so I guess the charcoal filter will be as good or better, let us know how it go's.

Portable Spray Booth + Charcoal Filter....

Hi, After my custom made spray booth died. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ITCONXvE2OY/TUPEEa3TbKI/AAAAAAAAAGA/6iRBUeQLkvY/s1600/IMG_9560.jpg I decided to get me a portable type. I bought 2 of this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portable-airbrushing-spray-booth-extractor-E420-with-extraction-kit-/120891551071?pt=UK_Crafts_DrawingSupplies_EH&hash=item1c25b2ad5f and it still on the way. Thinking of not using the supplied duct coz this will also eat more space. So I bought this... http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/mochchfiforh.html My question is. Does the charcoal filter really works? I'm using a lacquer based primer. After that. Its all Vallejo. Anybody here using this spray booth?
