Will white artist's tape work? What about regular masking tape, or is it too tacky? Can you help me with this?

Over.

The white artist's tape that I have is too tacky to use for masking. I only use it to matt photos.
Whenever I mask for painting, I use Drafting tape by a company called Alvin. Its very thin, doesn't leave a paint ridge, and is safe on Alcad II metallics. A 3/4" x 30' roll costs $3 or less. I don't use anything else, myself.
Hope this helps.

Obviously what Pix is recommending will work well, if you want another option, Tamiya Masking Tape is a safe bet also. Very low tack, very thin, It's great stuff.

Cheers....Snowy.
