Can you recommend a good surface primer?

I actually posted this question a couple days ago and got a few good responses. Scroll down about 10 posts, it's "paint primer options".

I just primed a 1/48 mustang using regular Krylon and it seemed to work well for me. Went down smooth and didn't seem too thick. I do intend to give the Tamiya or Mr Surfacer a try though to compare as many around here recommend them. Give a few a try and see what you like.

I don't airbrush my primer,rattlecan works fine, either Tamiya Fine or Mr Surfacer 1200.

I'm looking for recommendations for a decent surface primer. Something that easy to clean from the airbrush. I was looking at vallejo's but read they don't clean up well. Cheers-
