Alcad paints?
Posted by scottabe on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 5:14 AM

Since returning to the hobby I'm still looking at so many options available, it can really get me twisted and confused at times. Anyhow, that's not important at the moment. I'm looking for input on using Alcad paints. Can I use Alcad over any surface primer or does it have to be Alcad primer?

Doesn't have to be Alclad primer but theirs are good. Some of the shinier shades, like chrome or polished aluminum require a gloss black under coat.

I use Krylon primer, than a gloss black undercoat (enamel).
