Dull Coat Disaster

Thanks. Plenty of polishing pads in standby, and I've even started working on one of the stabilizers. I dread trying to work some of the tight areas areas without removing paint.

I'm ready to try anything short of giving Jobu a shot of rum, but I'm not sure another product will correct this.  What appeared at first as splotches is more of an unlevel - almost pitted - laydown of the coat. I tried a coat of future over a small area to see if that would help, but it just gave it a glossy, jacked-up look.

Don't know if this will help, but you might try it before going the sandpaper route. I had a model that I tried Krylon Low Odor Clear Matte spray on. It came out with white streaks and blotches. After it had dried, I went back over it with a different clear matte spray (Rustoleum, I believe) and the blotchy areas completely disappeared. I still have no idea what really caused the problem or why a different brand cleared it up.

Maybe sprayed from too far a distance, maybe nozzle not clean.  Only fix I am aware of is extremely fine sandpaper/polishing paper.  Those kinds of problem is a good reason to have some of the multi-thousand grades.
