This is interesting because I've seen car modelers use Rub 'n' Buff for engine pulleys and stuff like that, and I wondered why they only used it in small, obscure places. But now I think I get it, they were using it in places that were unlikely to ever be handled, so adhesion was not a concern

According to the folks at Armorama, AK True Metal doesn't adhere well to the surface.  I'm interested, though.  I'll just have to buy and test for myself.

AK's Metal Xtreme or something like that is for airbrushing.

You are right they are wax based. I believe these are like the RUB N Buff stuff is. Sorry for douting you.

Hi, I ordered AK  true  metal paint and have received the them , They are a waxed base paint  i did not know this there instructions state brush or cotton swab for application. I have not worked with a wax base before can it be thinned? can it be used in a airbrush?. The colors are fantastic they do look like real metal,s. Thanks Rory.
