                        Thanks Guys,

                        Never thought of Future but that makes sense as it is made for vinyl type floors.

                        FSM recommends a coat of Future followed by a coat of acrylic paint.  Future's adhesion to vinyl and metal is excellent.

                        I have had trouble with vinyl with both enamels and acrylics.  I color vinyl with the alcohol-type markers now.

                        When I built mine I didn't prime anything but I used  Tamiya acrylic rather than enamel and it did fine. One line detached itself and the paint remained in place when I glued it back.

                        Enamel doesn't play well with vinyl. It reacts with the vinyl and won't dry. I would paint it with the acrylic, and let it go.

                        I'm building the Meng D9 armored bulldozer and the hydraulic lines are vinyl hose, attached to the styrene stems with CA.

                        Usually vinyl hose is not painted (As in auto or F1 modeling), however this model is calling for the lines to be painted as they would have been sprayed in  the field.

                        I'm painting the D9 with Tamiya acrylic (Buff mixture) for Marines Corps version.

                        Should I prime the vinyl hose with MM enamel to "Seal" the vinyl?

                        Opinions please.?
