I second Don's Badger 200 suggestion, they are bullet proof and do an excellent job of spraying. The original is no longer made, the replacement is the 200NH, sprays perfectly. Mine is very old, lot's of use, just soldiers right along. They are both single action, internal mix. You can still find them new on ebay.

If you foresee really fine detail work, like freehand camo, then perhaps a dual action airbrush will be best. I use the Badger 100G, my all around favorite. Sprays very well and is easy to clean. That has a small gravity feed cup on top, they also have the 100LG, same airbrush but with a much larger cup. Chicago airbrush is a really good place for discount prices.

Also, by all means do have a good look at Don's Airbrush website, (linked in above post.)

Good luck with your search.

It all depends on how much you want to spend and invest in a good airbrush. Read Don Wheeler's website:

For a good, dependable, and affordable SA brush the Badger 200 is hard to beat.  I've had mine over forty years, it has seen heavy use, and just now thinking of getting a replacement.  Mine has a metal bottle cap, and that is finally deteriorating from years of abuse, though the replacement will be plastic- maybe that is better anyway.  Only replacement parts I have ever bought are teflon seals.  Still on original needle!

I use Badger and also have a NEO for Iwata. With the 40% online coupon from hobby lobby the neo is around $35.00 or so.

Casti

Look for buying a new airbrush.

anyone can recommends for a good dependable and affordable airbrush

I have a paasche d500 air compressor 1/10hp and a Badger Patriot 105 airbrush. That 2 airbrushes are double action gravity feed airbrushes.

If you are in US or Canada I suggest purchasing the Paasche or Badger from artist supply shop, because their price, quality and availability are better.

Also can check the chicago Airbrush Supply for good online pricing.

To see a good video review of the Paasche Talon
