Tamiya masking tape on finishes

Just stick the tape to your forehead until you are ready...unless you have an extremely linty or dry forehead (or concerned about looking like a fool) that should work too.

We got those too on anime figs, masking is masking doesn't matter what the subject is.

Not sure about flannel, never had a problem with 100% cotton t-shirts.

Iv'e never had a problem with Tamiya tape over enamels. Never tried it on acrylics. Be careful on metallic finishes, however, as they require very delicate masking. Don't think putting tape on your T-shirt to reduce adhesion is a good idea becuase it could pick up some fibers on the edges which may show up on your paint edge after masking.

Tamiya tape should be fine.

Here is something else I do at times to remove extra tackiness from the tape:
Stick the tape to your t-shirt till you need it.

Alternatively you can also use artists masking tape from the arts supply store, this is also a good low-tack option but won't lay as nicely around corners as the Tamiya Tape will.

Tamiya masking tape has always worked well for me and has never lifted a previous layer of paint. I think it is the best out there and feel confident to say I don't believe you will have any problems with it. This is bearing in mind also, that I use mainly Acrylics which have a reputation for lifting if tape is too tacky, so with enamels you should have no problems with Tamiya at all.
