Simair TC2000 Compressor Issues
Posted by AndyMoss123 on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 1:07 PM

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help. I have a Simar TC2000 Twin Cylinder air compressor which has quite happily run a Paasche airbrush and a Iwata Eclipse airbrush together for a number of years, Now the compressor seems to have lost grunt. When I trigger the airbrush, the compressor comes on for half a second and then drops out. It pulses like this whilst using the brush and the pressure rises and drops as a result. I can actually get a constant pressure with no pulsing if I trigger both brushes at the same time, but the pressure is only about 20 -25 psi. I can even connect the airbrush direct to the compressor, such is the lack of omph.

Does anyone know why it appears to have lost power/pressure, or what could have caused such as issue. I would be grateful for any help in this matter.

Have you checked all connections for a leak?
