Alclad Gray Primer thinner.

I use it straight from the bottle with no problems. I know Mr colour do a thinner for there primers which are also lacquer, but I am not aware that Alclad does.

 

Thanks Bish. I expected straight from the bottle would be OK, sometimes I like to spray the last primer coat very thin, assuming the filling and sanding is complete. Then the quick and ultra thin coat goes on, a gentle rub with 2000 grit and it's as smooth as I know how to get it, prior to the Alclad Metallic.

For that I'll test a bit, to see if the celluloid thinner is compatible with the gray primer. 

You're up and writing quite early, there in the UK. I'm in Oregon, waiting for the next rain blast. I'm confident it won't be long.

Alclad primer shoots straight out of the bottle as others have said.  I have used the product and I like it.  It seems to go on smoother than most other primers.  You can thin it with lacquer thinner if your bottle gets old and mostly used up.  I have done so with no problems whatsoever.

I did use it straight from the bottle, even fully stirred for blending it was a good consistency. I tried a test with some DuPont lacquer thinner, since sometimes I like a final thin coat prior to painting, that allows for a really smooth finish with good flow out. No issues, I like it. Thanks again, guys, and they did respond to me right away. Good folks.
