Color Modulation/Zenithal Lighting Tips
Posted by Moff on Friday, November 6, 2015 8:01 PM

I had several questions pertaining to Color Modulation/Zenithal Lighting:

  1. How do you personally mask sections? The JS-3's pike nose is driving me crazy.
  2. If I'm painting a side panel highlight (along the top edge), do I paint the same edge of the upper deck? In other words, should I paint along the other side of an edge (if that edge area would be lit in real life)?
  3. How bright is too bright between layers?

If you need clarification please ask.

What type of model are we talking about here?  Ships?  Not sure what you mean by sections and layers.

I'm talking about AFVs, and I didn't notice how much it sounded like I was taking about ships, sorry. I meant "sections" kind of generically, as in "areas". I meant layers as in the different modulation color layers. I was kind of in a rush when I posted that, sorry again.
