Use Vallejo Surface Primer as a paint?

Think of any reason why Vallejo's very good line of polyurethane surface primers couldn't also be used as a standard paint? They come in lots of colors and I've got dunkelgelb which is also a color I'd like now. Going to use it over hairspray. A bit more grain perhaps, but quickly solved with clear.
