That is a very basic model that sprays the same as a rattle can so no control on the spray pattern. The air can you bought will go by fast and will not even comple one model so it's not cost effective to use them.
Best advise I can give you is to return it if you can and get a refund. If not, then you have a AB for large projects around the house.
I recommend you get a Badger 150 (http://www.badgerairbrush.com/Badger_150.asp) which is a very good entry level DA ab. As for an air supply, Harbor Freight has some pretty inexpensive compressors generally under $50. You can also get the moisture trap and pressure regulator from them for under $20 for both.
