That is a very basic model that sprays the same as a rattle can so no control on the spray pattern. The air can you bought will go by fast and will not even comple one model so it's not cost effective to use them.

Best advise I can give you is to return it if you can and get a refund. If not, then you have a AB for large projects around the house.

I recommend you get a Badger 150 (http://www.badgerairbrush.com/Badger_150.asp) which is a very good entry level DA ab. As for an air supply, Harbor Freight has some pretty inexpensive compressors generally under $50. You can also get the moisture trap and pressure regulator from them for under $20 for both.

Have a look here for a review of your airbrush.  It can produce a decent paint coat, but it actually takes more skill than an airbrush with a needle.  A Badger 350 or Paasche H is very simple to use and care for and would give you much more control. You might want to check out some of my other reviews.  A compressor would save you money in the long run.

Practice on some junk plastic before you try it on a model.

No needle, just a basic coverage gun. May be good to shoot primer on large areas.

I'm not sure what your airbrush needs are, but a Paasche VL, can be found used on eBay in like new condition for about 30.00. It's a better choice than this gun for general modeling purpose.

I have owned the same VL airbrush since I was in High School. The airbrushes last a lifetime. I graduated high school in 1982, do the math. lol

I bought my Badger 150 about 1976, about 40 years ago and is still in use and in excellent condition.

yep, I have had my Badger 150 for almost as long as my VL. Those old brushes just keep on going.
