Will airbrushed Testors Laquer Clears protect my enamel basecoat from enamel finishing products such as Mig and AK washes, filters, and streaking ?

I'm not entirely sure Tojo, but I recall chuckw haveing an issue on his Ju-388 build i think it was? He used Testor's gloss coat and dullcoat and his oil washes and filters ate through it, even though it is a lacquer product, the oil/enamels still reacted with it.

FWIW...I use MM enamels (exclusively)...I gloss with Minwax clear gloss lacquer (Testors clears are also lacquer). The only time I've ran into a problem is if I sprayed the gloss on too thick (it will wrinkle the paint). To get around this, I spray a couple mist coats, giving a few minutes to dry, then spray a heavier coat, to get a good gloss. Being solvent based, I use waterbased washes (home made from cheap craft store paint). Testors dull coat to finish it off.
